Charity Communications

I’ve worked with charities both big and small since starting out in regional news. I’ve collaborated with third sector organisation on print campaigns, produced compelling copy for specialist publications, turned case studies into magazine cover stories, undertaken media training with interviewees and taken the lead on press for million-pound heritage arts projects.

Breast Cancer Now, Cancer Research UK and the National Disability Arts Collection and Archive are just a few of the organisations I’ve been proud to work with and achieve fantastic results for.

I know that as a charity you probably have a limited budget and must ensure that case study stories are handled with the utmost sensitivity. That’s why it makes sense to hire someone with really broad experience, a bulging contacts book and an endless stream of editorial and publicity ideas – me!

Here's what one of the UK’s biggest cancer charities has to say about my work…

We’ve been fortunate to work closely with Sarah for a number of years, and she has been successful in placing numerous pieces of coverage in well-known publications to help us highlight a wide range of women’s stories living with, or beyond breast cancer.  Sarah’s ability to pitch and interview with the utmost sensitivity is highly professional and commendable. We are so grateful for Sarah’s continued support to the charity and we look forward to collaborating with her on upcoming projects in the near future .
